There have been reported sightings of a Florida Panther in the Lower Econlockhatchee basin. The Florida Panther is a federally protected endangered species. If you spot a Florida Panther or panther tracks;

• Note the location of where the panther was spotted.
• If you have a camera take pictures of the tracks with a frame of reference (hand, ruler, ...)
• Call Mike Rich at 407-349-9901, he will bring in the State Biologist to make plaster casts.

How to know the difference between a Florida Panther and other similar tracks.

• Panther have long tails, bobcats have short stubs.
• Their tracks have a larger size (typically) than bobcats.
