We welcomed back to FLO a very special member from the original cast: Beth Bazemore has returned to participation for the first time in many years. Beth had attended the very first FLO event on March 10, 1991 and helped coordinate the second FLO event at Paisley on April 21, 1991. Those interested in FLO history will note the odd coincidence that it was also at Mud Pond, two years ago, that the Brunnig family had returned after an absence of many years. They are significant because it was the Brunnig's who organized the third FLO event ever on May 4, 1991 at Immanuel Church in Deland, where the children that day elected the manatee as FLO's mascot. It seems we should be prepared for such Old Timer's Days whenever we schedule a Mud Pond event from now on.
