It had been a while since we had a Night-o and the last one was at UCF, but all within the ‘manicured’ and lighted campus area itself. This one would take competitors out into the dark forest - but not a whole lot of forest. Understand that I saved the really challenging stuff for the next event. Now that most of the wild part of the campus property has been mapped, we can have more fun out there. Apparently this whole idea of mid-week Night-O frightened most of you off, since a total of only 11 brave souls dared the attempt. I was most pleased to have one guest from San Diego, Rich Parker, who had just completed two days of Class-A competition in GA and took advantage of our mid-weeks events on his way to the Suncoast weekend on 26-27 January. He did pretty well, too, if you notice.
Thanks to Katy and Jorge for pitching in to help with whatever I asked, even though they showed up expecting only to compete. Much appreciated.
